CBC is running a headline that NDP MP Libby Davies is being asked to resign after an interview has gone up on youtube with her saying that she believes the Israeli 'occupation' of Palestine began in 1948. Being that Israel's independence from Palestine was fought over in 1948, that statement would mean that the 'occupation' is in fact Israel's very existence.

I am leaning towards believing that she really just doesn't understand the situation and what the implication of her answers are. When she is asked more specific questions about what kind of solutions she would recommend she starts dodging and generally admitting she doesn't know enough about what's going on over there to really give any answer.  
 
While looking for the interview I also came across a video on youtube from a chemtrails documentary featuring MP Davies as well. I'm seriously thinking she may be more of a nutter than an advocate for anything, in which case I'd say good riddance to her if she resigns.
