Cuban Embargo

With the entire world against the US trade embargo in Cuba, so you think it's time to life the ban? Would it actually to anything to mend relations with the US?
Should Canada follow the US example and restrict travel to the island? I mean, there are very few freedoms and now that Harper is harping on China's human rights record, and soon North Korea's record, should he not attack Cuba as well and follow the US's way and impose some economic restrictions on Cuba?
