Doing our part....

I know there are a couple posts going on about global warming. Just thought I would start a new one to see what positive actions each of us may be doing in regards to this and the environment in general. maybe we can learn something from each other. Here are some of the things we are doing in our household.
1. Recycling everything we can has reduced our household weekly garbage down to 1 1/2 - 2 green garbage bags.
2. Drive newer small vehicle 40+ MPG
3. All household lighting is LED/flourescent with outdoor timers.
4. Compost
5. Never let my car idle for more than 10 min in the morning.
6. Some energy efficient appliances (not all yet, but working on it)
7. Bought new lawn mower (did you know that running an old mower is equivilant to driving a newer car 550km's as far as the pollution it emits).
Would love to hear some other ideas so I can add them to my list????
