Vince Lee was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia!! This means that without medication he was feeeling strong delusions and hallucinations that he could NOT control!! The cause of this disorder made him think that he was in danger and forced him to do these horrible horrible things.  
This kind of disorder can happen to anyone!! He didn't choose to get this disorder, it came upon him. What if one of your friends or family came down with this disorder?? would you want them locked up forever when medication and some rehabilitation makes them as safe as anyone else in society?? Lets not forget that he did not commit one crime before this, proving he is a safe individual to live in normal society when healthy.  
Its an enormous tragedy what happened!! The bottom liine is this DISEASE is what caused it and nothing else.  
In tragedies such as this, it makes people feel better about the situation by placing blame on someone to help cope with what happpened. In this case there is no human being to blame, there is a disease!!  
I give all my respects out to Tim's family, its just so unfortunate that there are diseases out there that can cause people to do such tragic things.
