That this type of thing is occurring so frequently lately. What's worse is that it is probably going to get worse before it gets better.

Not in our lifetime that's for sure. Call me a fool but I'd like to hope that a species as smart as we are will eventually learn to stop killing each other over nothing.

Europe is doing this to itself. Multiculturalism is flawed. I think everyone is fine with immigration, but we need to realize that not all cultures wish to intregrate and be a little more selective on what countries or religions groups are allowed in.  
Google Malmo Sweden, or Marseilles France, Cologne Germany..see where there open door policies have led. Coming to a city near you if we go down the same path. Liberals are taking us there already.

is right. Saw it first hand growing up in England. Its time all the do gooders keep there noses out of other countries problems. They have been fighting for hundreds of years,do you think letting them into other countries is going to stop them and help ???

Don't be naive, religion doesn't kill people, men with big egos kills people. Men have started war for all kinds of reasons from theneed for water to family honor or greed and desire for domination.  
 
The secular superpowers in the 20th century killed more people than in the previous 19 centuries combined. Also many religions are anti war or anti murder.  
 
So stop saying religion causes all war.

Sharia law has no place in western democracies. Or European for that matter.  
 
They don't assimilate into the new culture. They force their views on others. Kind of like what's happening in Europe.  
 
Some religion ok for countries w democracies. The extreme religions can stay in their home country.  
 
You are right. This has been growing for years over in Europe and now everyone can see the mistakes are coming to a head. And people are getting killed.

I suspect, in direct reference to the lyrics written by Belgian pop star and poet J. Brel and his song "Le plat pays". Are we really talking about what is happening in Belgium--the article seems to imply--or are we talking about terrorism or even Sharia and religion? Or, are we talking about ourselves? Today, Hillary asked Mr. Trump and all those that want to build a wall: "...how high should we build that wall to block the internet?" I tend to agree with that sentiment and we should ask ourselves. We have the resources that make us less vulnerable, as Canadians, than most. So if anyone, including Hillary, wants to attack us in our (relatively) happy country, then how high should our wall be? Perhaps, until it reaches those clouds in our sky...?
