Some may have seen this trending on Facebook and other locations about the police apparently standing around after 3 teenage girls drive a stolen vehicle into a pond. There's a lot of out-cry now over this. But there are pictures of the recovery and the conditions of the pond. And just looking at those pictures there's no way an officer would of been able to rescue them.  
 
It also sounds like the Officers didn't know how many were in the car, age, or colour.

As bad as I do feel for anyone losing their children no matter the circumstances, I think this was a case of "Stupid games, stupid prizes" And especially her mother "What 15 year old is perfect?" What bloody 15 year old steals a car?!

Maybe I am heartless, but if the parents took a bit more interesting is raising their kids they wouldn't be out stealing and joyriding in cars.  
 
I have trouble feeling sorry or sad for any person that dies as a result of their own actions. They chose to steal the car, they chose to run from the police. People sure expect a lot from the police, expecting them to be almost superhuman able to save people from a sinking car, to disarm people high on drugs without risking their own life and limb.  
 
I would personally rather a criminal die or be injured than an officer die or get hurt trying to save someone who doesn't have the common sense to obey the law.  
 
Teenaged girls aged 15-16 know the difference between right and wrong, stealing is wrong and there is zero excuse for stealing a car for a joyride. They made a bad call and paid the price

also driving with no headlights on. And this was not the first time they stole a car. And of course racism is now being used to describe the Officers actions. The girls were out stealing cars at 3am on a school day. What the heck were they doing out at that time of the day!!  
 
There's one picture that shows over a foot of vegetation on the roof of the car when it was pulled out. Then of course the possible alligators in that pond.
