According to a reporter from the Brandon Sun who posted on Twitter, the fire was a result of an brush fire(controlled burn from the sounds of it) that got out of hand.

As far as I had known the business had been sold. For the many that speculated this was arson in an attempt for fraud I would say that is incorrect. Although the business was for sale this spring at the time of the fire it had been sold. The new owner was taking the equipment to either Morden or Winkler. That being said, the building itself was not insured. So no, there will not be a rebuild as that location was not the plan. And for the naysayers thinking it was a shady fire it wasn't. I would suggest going to Oak Lake for paintball. Closest place I can think of.

the for sale sign had been there for a long time, months!  
 
I heard it was from brush fire west of the bldg that got out of control.
