The scary thing . . .
11/10/2016 at 1:01 AM
The most scary aspects about Trump are his unpredictability and compulsive lies (which can, in most cases, be very easily refuted. Now I realize most politicians lie from time to time, but Trump takes it to a whole other level, sometimes lying dozens of times in a single day). I''ll admit that the ''f*** you'' he gave to the US political system is somewhat thrilling and exhilarating, but I can''t help but have my doubts about this guy. Note that this guy''s been all over the political spectrum in his lifetime making him not exactly a true Republican in my opinion (though, to be fair, some consider him an independent but I''ve never heard him refer to himself as that). It''s my guess that he ran as a Republican largely, if not entirely, because he thought he could more easily win as that than as a Democrat. Remember how only a few years ago he was in love with the Clintons, defending Bill at any chance he got? Well now he hates the Clintons and thinks they''re criminals. This does not make any sort of sense. One more thing about Trump that bothers me: the impossible promises. The wall thing is possible, yes, but getting Mexico to pay for it isn't. And he knows this.
As always is the case when a new president has been elected, it''s always my hope that they''ll end up doing a competent job as the leader of the USA, but I have my doubts. And, just to put it out there, I''m neither liberal nor conservative—I''m more of an in-betweener with slightly left leaning views, while acknowledging that the left have some problems of their own. I also can''t stand much of the media and view them in a negative light as many modern conservatives do. So I guess, in that way, I kinda relate to conservatives.
Anyway, anyone else a bit fed up with this whole ''us VS. them'' mentality? It''s a recipe for a civil war of sorts.
