Yellow patches of dead grass?

Started noticing random yellow patches of dead grass showing up on front and back lawns. They weren’t there last week. Any ideas? Not dogs .

Our lawn is the same way and we picked up some Scotty’s Grub-B-Gone from Canuck Wheel ( C- Tire)

Sorry for double post . Was trying to ask previous poster if the Grub-Be-Gone solved this issue with the yellow grass spots.

We just applied it less than a week ago but we did have grubs. Do you happen to see any small holes that the birds are poking in the ground to eat the grubs?

live underground and eat the grass roots. If you can pull up some dead grass and there are no roots attached, you have grubs.

can grubs next brought in on new sod?

I had sod put down 2 year ago. I do have dogs but they rarely pee where these yellow patches show up. I taught my dogs to pee in an area where no sod exists. Some of these patches showed up almost over night and confused the heck outta me. I’ve been watering and putting pee neutralizer down all last year. No success.

So grubs eh?

same problem a few years ago. Lawn care company said it was Chinch bugs.
