It could be obvious question but I want to be sure if that is o.k to put fruits and vegetables peels in the Green Bins beside leaves and grass cuts.

long as it's compostable, it's okay to be put in the green bin.

Acceptable Material  
 
Items that are acceptable in the City of Brandon Green Cart program are:  
 
Leaves  Grass Clippings    
Twigs (less than .1 cm or ¼” in diameter)  
Plants  
Old potting soil            
Soft Plant stems  
Weeds    
Small amount of wood chips/sawdust  
Fruit scraps (peels, seeds, pits)  
Vegetable trimmings  
Compostable bags  
Egg Shells  
Tea bags/Tea Leaves  
Coffee Grounds with filters  
Small amount of shredded paper  
Pasta, Rice, baked goods  
Plain bread  
Feathers  
Seafood shells  
Food soiled uncoated paper products  
Paper plates, napkins etc.  
 
   
 
Items not acceptable in the City of Brandon Green Cart Program are:  
 
Metals  
Meat, fish & bones  
Dairy Products  
Cheese,  
Meat or other Sauces  
Plastics  
Fats and Oils  
Pet Waste

You are absolutely correct, but this way other people can read the respond and learn too even if they never thought about it or have not signed up yet for green cart. This might encourage them to sign up if they know more material can be in the cart. I have had green cart for a while but never put other material than yard waste in it before but I am going to from now on!  
Also, interacting with real people even with writing and reading feels good in this Corona era!  
Also, it feels good to know that some people are care enough to spend time to write the respond for somebody's question and I am thankful for that ( you i:ncluded )

A couple of years ago, I put all my fruit and vegetable peels, core, leftovers... in the green bin, and I ended up with millions of fruit flies!  
I have a small garden and my own compost pile. I just put them in there now, and save the green bin for leaves, weeds, small branches. Works for me.

If she had done that, we all would have missed out on your response.
