Home Slice said "I seem to have a lot of green tomatoes that aren’t turning colour anytime soon. Anyone else in this situation? Usually by September long weekend most of my tomatoes had turned red and the plants were dying off. I’ve even got new blossoms on some of my tomatoes. "
Also, it depends on the varieties you planted. Determinate types will set and ripen their fruit all at once. Many are earlier types, although some are later. Indeterminate will continue to bloom and set fruit until freeze up if you don't actively pinch them off. I also find they tend to start ripening later.
If you tried new-to-you varieties this year, they might be just a later type. But things are legit couple weeks late too.
