I've heard that you shouldn't cut the plant back in the fall. is this so? If so, then in the spring, how much do you cut them back? I have 3 beautiful perennial mums (planted last fall from 4 inch pots: really amazed how big and bushy they became) so don't know how to winter them as last year they were just a little sprig.
