Bedding plants

I see that they can be purchased now. When do you put bedding plants in? What stores in your opinion are the best for buying the plants?
For the last 2 years I have waited until the 2nd week of June. I liked Canadian tire and Zeller's quality. Superstore was alright depending on the plant. I got some supersized petunias from there last year that did well. Haven't tried Walmart etc.
