What happened to the garden in front of the sportsplex?

All the plants on Knowlton in front of the Sportsplex are gone and all that is left is mud. Those poor people who worked so hard on a really hot day to get it planted and it looked so nice. That was a lot of work down the drain. I enjoyed walking by it when it was there. Was it washed out? Destroyed by all the work being done on the roadway? Vandalism? Anybody know?
