    when I moved into my home, over half the back yard was covered in stones and there was a weed underlay that was not working anymore (lots of weeds poking through). We've gotten rid of most of the stones, and would like to just grow lawn, but there are so many weeds. Any ideas anyone?

    Look for a chemical to spray on weeds.  
    After a week the weeds will be gone and the chemical dissipated.  
    Then you can reseed the area.  
    When you have a large area, this is the easiest way.

    If you have a large area that needs to be seeded you can contact Westman Hydroseeding. It's way cheaper than sod. Call 204-867-7955 or check out Facebook or their website.
