getting rid of aphids

I have a massive tree in my yard, and it is filled with aphids. Everything within 20' feet of it is completely covered in there sticky honeydew. I've tried spraying it with insecticide but can't get high enough to cover the whole tree. How do I get rid of them? Does anyone in town deal with them? Thanks
