Places that will float my boat...

Hey everyone, I just purchased an inflatable raft (a decent one that a small motor can attach to not just a dingy) and would like to test it out before camping with it next weekend. However the river is waaaay too high to do that safely with only oars (I don't have a motor to attach to my little boat).
My question is where is a spot that is close (within a 20 min drive) that is not the river that we can float our boat?
