A lot of "I heards" out there. I heard from ____________ ?  
This one would seem to at least in part contradict the info from the city via the Sun that there's a permit for renos and signage. If the building is for sale it isn't listed on the Realtor.ca site.

Is that it's already sold and the new owner is doing the renos and adding a nee sign.

Reading through one of the earlier posts by Adam I noticed mention of Belair Restuarant LTD, now I'm wondering about something from years past. Was there not a Chinese Restuarant on Rosser many years ago called the Belair, it's was a long time ago so I could be wrong on both the location and name, but something about the name Belair rang a bell.

I hope the Brandon Sun does as thorough of report on the unveiling of this location as they have done now mentioning the previous two owners...with the last owner seemingly in the wind these days after closing the doors 3 weeks ago without warning...according to the article.  
 
Also, I wonder if the information that the use of the building to remain as a restaurant is credible and, if so, should that information have been provided assumably by someone from the planning dept??

Kam lung’s was for sale several months ago, but it was just the building. I remember seeing it advertised. In the link below is the sales listing from that time.

Rumor has it, from an inside source, this is going to be a 2nd Kim''s location. Should be open in a few weeks.

Has anyone figured out what actually happened to Kam Lung? Would have expected some sort of announcement if they were relocating.

It seems in brandon when a business is new or changing location it is always kept under wraps till very close to opening day. 2 other cities I have lived in, when businesses were moving or opening there was always signage up advertizing Grand Opening, Coming soon, or Future home Of well in advance. a lot of times even as the ground is being broken there will be a Future Home Of sign  
 
you never see that here in brandon, businesses here seem not to advertise until just a few days before they open.  
 
is that just a thing here in brandon or a fear that someone else is going to create competition for you even before you open.  
 
speaking of opening, are Harveys and Swiss chalet opening this weekend??

belair was owned by buddy leeds who was one of the owners of kam lung originally

I hope they fix up the back parking lot. If my memory serves me right, it had some big pot holes.

It is indeed 100% going to be kims second location.  
Mrs. Kim told me herself upon asking her and they hope to be open by mothers day.

I read Adam's comment and thought, here's a guy that appreciates Chinese food just about as much as I do. I wasn't singing but his comment made me happy, happy, happy.  
We're all human, but sometimes things make us a bit giddy.

Kim’s Asian Restaurant will be opening a second location in Brandon. The new restaurant will be located at 2330 Victoria Ave (Old Kam Lung Chinese Restaurant location).

It's been a while since I've been at Kim's, I've never had the buffet at Kim's, so the question is how's the food selection, and how's the price.  
A change in management usually means a change in menu, but sometimes businesses that change do hold onto ideas that worked with the prior business.

They will do well with a second location. Great food, service and reasonable prices. Buffet is always hot .

Last time I went the buffet was really good. Could get a mix of sushi and chinese food. Also lots to eat and fresh. Think it was around $18 with just water to drink.

This will be kim's second location. I am really hoping their buffet will be bigger

Personally, I don’t like Kim’s anymore. We had it about a month or so ago for delivery and it just wasn’t as good as I remember it.  
 
However, to be fair, I don’t really like any Chinese place in comparison to double happiness. It has ruined all others for me lol
