We all spend a lot of time watching what television has to offer us which is mostly very little.but every once in awhile something special comes along that we embrace and lock on to for all it’s worth. At least I do. Such was the case when I first watched Anthony Bourdain on the Travel Channel and Food Network . An amazingly talented and outgoing TV personality who was gifted with spontaneous social banter, quick witted, humorous, brutally honest and extremely knowledgeable in his own and others environments. He told it like it was. It was fresh tv and he was brilliant as the host. He took us around the world and showed us its culture and cuisine and for that I am eternally grateful . I never met the man but would have like to have spent even one hour with him to hear his stories. I for one will miss his shows. RIP Tony.

Sadly, I wasn't surprised when I heard he committed suicide. The only good thing about him and Kate Spade's suicide so close back-to-back is at least it got people talking about it.

He will be missed.
