Who runs it, menu was overpriced and quality was not there! Will likely try once just to see as it is one of the better atmospheres.

I'd ask that this discussion be focused on looking forward and not looking backward on whatever may have taken place in the past.

The great quality was certainly there. It was real food made from real identifiable ingredients. The price was fine too. If you want good (aka real) food, the price will reflect that. The atmosphere was very good.  
 
Thank you, Adam, for confirming that Browns is definitely coming back. It has been one of our favorite places to go for a night out. We did miss it. By the looks of the Instagram feed, it looks like many others feel the same.  
 
I hope they bring the spicy street tacos back. That was my favorite.

Personally I loved Browns when it was here before. Great food, drinks and awesome atmosphere. Been to a few in other cities and had same experience.  
 
To the poster above, not sure what you thought was over priced or what you''''re comparing it to ? I found it on par with the other chains like Applebees, Montanas, BP etc which is what it should be compared to.. it beats atmosphere hands down on all those though.  
 
Should not be long before this thread turns into people asking for Gullivers to come back and wondering if Browns will honor gift cards from before !

Were not impressed before. But we will go and see if the issues that we had are fixed this time around. To say that this rendition of browns will be the same is being short sighted. I love to see all businesses in Brandon thrive, but criticism is good for a business as it shows them where to improve too many times we blow sunshine up peoples you know, so we spare their feelings but the world does not work that way and people will not learn or improve.

In my opinion, if you do not want to be judged on past experiences, then change the name of the restaurant.

Wasn't a big fan before. Will like usual give it a shot and see what happens.

We loved it there before. Prices were reasonable we thought, especially for drinks. Food was great. Breakfasts were nice and loved the atmosphere. Looking forward to its return!

They did such good work building that restaurant it was such a waste to have it sitting empty. Very happy it is reopening.

We went there a few times per month and always had a good experience...glad to hear they’re coming back!!

The new owner is the owner of several other Browns restaurants. They were able to work with the landlord of the previous location and will be opening in the same spot. Gift cards issued from the central gift card account will be honoured (which I gather is going to be the vast majority of what’s out there). Any custom cards that were issued by the local owner would come down to a judgement by the new owner. I’ll update with anything addition that I learn

We went today for friends and family dry run and it was great. Place looks good. Met the new GM - nice guy. It seems like it is going to be good! Glad to have them back!

Had the Veggie Burger and cowboy salad. It was excellent! Very surprised with the burger! Tastier then expected.

Is they seem to be on every corner in the Vancouver area. I noticed that as soon as I moved here - it seems like there are more Browns than Tim Hortons around here.  
 
Their test kitchen happens to be five minutes from where I live - it is the location they test all new things that go into their menu are tested. And they do have fantastic happy hour specials that are actually affordable. (of course most places around here do - they understand that you give people a reason to come in they usually stay and spend more in the long run) Still can't say it is a favorite place of my family, but they are miles above what the Brandon location was.  
 
Just goes to show if it is properly run it is a draw. Hope the new, experienced owner does better.

We were there for their dry run as well. The service was awesome and the food was excellent! Loved it and will definitely be going back!
