I bought Lucerne 2% for the first time and it has soured four days before the date on it, even more surprising is the fact that my cat, who loves milk, refused to drink it, from day one, anyone else had the same problem?

Sometimes it depends on where you buy it from. Some big stores leave their milk out for ages until they can get it into the coolers.

As I have found Walmart’s milk and cream sour before expiration. That being said, I bought 3% from Safeway for a specific recipe on Christmas Eve and it was chunky days before it was to expire.

I bought cream 10% last week. Expiry was Jan 10 and It was sour when I opened it. Came from Shoppers Drug Mart

I have not had bad Lucerine milk yet, but the few jugs of milk that I have bought in 3% and Eggnog have been chalky and sub-par by my standards and not tasted at all like the regular milk from a year ago.  
 
Is this to do with the reports of Amarican milk being used in Lucerine milk?...I can't answer that.

Lucerne is not a good quality and definitely doesn't have a good shelf. I refuse to by it,

Haven't bought Lucerne milk for a few years - it was always spoiled several days before the "best before" date - sometimes as much as 6 days and Dairyland milk tasted so much better. Will go out of my way to buy Dairyland milk.

To m, milk is milk. Doesn’t usually last longer then a day or two before we have used it all and need more.No difference to me on the brand.

I usually buy Lucsene since I mostly shop at Safeway . The cats like it okay and it is okay for what I use it for. Usually it lasts longer than the expiry date stamped on it ( I buy 1% and the 3.25%) but once in awhile the odd bottle will be sour a couple days before the date.

Where can you buy it?

I saw it at the mall Shoppers Drug Mart on New Years Day.  
 
I refuse to buy milk now days unless if it's Dairyland - Beatrice is okay but their chocolate milk always has a bit of a weird aftertaste. Dairyland is always absolutely great quality and packaged right here in Brandon.

Coop sells it.

Dairyland is made in Brandon so perhaps not having to be trucked in helps.

I was upset when Walmart switched to Lucerne. I prefer Dairyland way better. I even emailed Walmart and complained. I bought Beatrice today at Superstore. Unfortunately coop is out of my way just to go for milk

Don't buy fairlife milk. That's American milk at the moment

To add to that, the fridge thermometers in the stores should always be visible. They should be set anywhere in the 1-4°C range.  
 
Your fridge at home should be set the same. This is NOT 1-4 on the fridge dial, but as measured with a thermometer. You can get fridge/freezer thermometers at Walmart. We also find that different shelves in our fridge read at different temperatures. It is best to check that out as well and place your milk in the sweet spot. The door is never a good option.  
 
I did see an ad on tv yesterday for Fairlife milk. I immediately said that must be an American brand.

You have to look to the cooler to the right of the Lucerne to find it, smaller cooler.
