Newfie's cafe closed/closing?

This is an offshoot of the "Closed Brandon businesses" thread. In it it was mentioned by a few folks that Newfies is either finished or on the way towards closing.
Because this is a current topic and has the potential to get quite a few replies, I think it's best to have this standalone thread about it.
