Are there any farms in the area that sell organic eggs?

I've been buying their eggs on and off for years. Not certified organic, but they follow organic practices. They are south of Austin and come into Brandon weekly or every other week, depending on the season.

Organic vs Free Range

The only certified organic egg producer in Manitoba is Country Side Farms.
There are a lot of Free Range Farms right outside Brandon that can’t officially call themselves Organic but most of them follow the exact same procedures as the Organic. The only difference is the Certification and for that it costs a lot of money!!

So please think of that before you get taken by the word “Organic”.

We have free range chickens. Personally if you find someone who sells free range eggs you will likely be more pleased with the eggs. Our girls get layer food and free range over an acre of land. Nice big orange yolks. Plus they are fresh. Most store bought eggs are older than if you buy fresh from the farm.

I second the recommendation for pastured eggs. We get ours from McDonald Farm in Cartwright. Organic is mostly a marketing ploy anyway.
