    Does anyone have a Presto pressure canner? If so could I please ask if they are flat bottomed or concave?  
    I've looked at images on Presto and various sales sites but none of the images show the base.  
    We currently have a Tefal but the concave base means that it does not push down on the thermal switch, so it is difficult to use on our stove.

    I have a Presto 23 quart model C01781. It has a flat bottom that fits an 8" element. The overall footprint of the canner is about 12" (but only 8" makes contact).  
     
    It is aluminium and would not work on an induction stove. I use mine on a flat-top. My SIL has the same canner and she uses it on gas.

    If you're going the 23q route, get the extra rack. It only comes with 1, but you'll need 2 to double-stack.

    I have a 23 qt model designed to be used on flattop cooktops and will work with induction tops.

    ordered a Presto 21litre one from Home Hardware, should be in next week, Thanks for the tip about only one rack. Will 'phone them to order a second one.
