Well its offical BarBurrito is opening up next to Mary browns. Another fast food mexician joint to the list.

Im suprised that they would go there. since taco time is right there. why is there no restarunts in the west vic commons, or out by the acc campus on the hill?

saying 18th Street (the busiest street in town)is a worse location than Victoria West or East? The goal of restaurant location isn’t to be where there nothing, it’s to be where there is high traffic

Spot next to KFC has been leased.. someone say mexician again... MuchoBurrito?

WestVic commons has 2 spots conditionally leased.. it will be new buildings built on site pads...

While I agree it will be nice to see something in the West Vic common area I don’t know how many more restaurants Brandon can handle. We’ve got just about every nationality covered in town I’m wondering who is actually going to these places? Top that off with all the pizza joints in town I just don’t see a need for more restaurants. I prefer the small mom and pop style restaurants and I know whatever is coming will be a chain.

I thought I saw a sign for a Mexican place in the strip mall beside the quickie mart

Go to Mariachi’s, Los bros, Sabor Latino before any of the chains. Authentic meals and local.

These chain places are still local lol and providing income to local people....

Qdoba, freshii, DQ, chopped leaf and booster juice are all chain fast food/restaurants but they're all locally owned and operated.  
 
Supporting any of these chains is still supporting local people.  
 
Some places may have owners that live out of province but they are still managed and staffed by local people. To turn your nose up at something because it is a chain doesn't make much sense.  
 
To look at it another way. City's beg a company like Amazon to open up a distribution center in there city because they know how much economic impact it will have on their local economy.  
 
We should welcome any and all business to Brandon and support it as best we can because it gives us, the consumer more options, provide jobs to our unemployed and ultimately promote growth in our city.

When are these so called 2 new pad type restaurants coming to West Vic Common. People I spoke to in the area knew nothing about it. Maybe Covid has scared the owners away.
