Not looking for a debate/fight.
Not intending for a passive aggressive thread trying to imply my preference on others.
Not looking for a shaming thread.

We like eating out (takeout), but won’t be prepared to order from restaurants/fast casual type of places where prep or serving is done without mask just yet (probably a couple months out). Experience over the past day is it’s been pretty hit and miss, with bigger corporates seeming more likely to on average be masked. I know it’s not that simple and would like to not simply have all eating and drinking be at the few places I know about for the next little while, so in the interest of saving gas/phone calls am hoping folks can share places where they’ve observed restaurants serving folks while masked (corporate or not) post March 15. In interest of a constructive discussion, not interested in claims of who isn’t. At same time please be respectful of the fact that those not operating this way are doing nothing wrong by how the new public health order changes now apply, this is just my personal preference for now and there will be people with different perspectives than me.

Don’t take what you see here as pure gospel/fact and verify for yourself if important to you. Just because a name doesn't appear here, don't assume it means they don't. Assume this is a fluid thing and if a post is a few days old, verify that what you see is still the case.

Another I’ve noticed with staff masked is Subway, both Mall and 18th (don't have a chance to use other location).
New York Fries at Mall too.
I know it’s more than just places under corporate umbrellas and hope folks have other examples to share but these are a few I’ve noticed so far.

Qdoba, Barburrito, DQ South… staff masks all around. DQ sandwich board signage out continuing to advise respecting distancing. Natural reasons to go to all these places today, I promise

The new Mariachi Tacos & Cantina Mexican sit down restaurant at 1515-1st Street (1st & Richmond on SE corner in the newer strip mall) are all masked. Great food too!

I dont know if its so much of a corporate policy as I've been to both dqs and subways in other areas of the province and have experienced staff without masks on. I think its just a matter of time till most allow it to be at employees discretion.

Think everywhere still does. I’ve been to chill chutney, the dock, timmies, McDonald’s,and I can’t remember the other one lol, but all the staff had masks. Oh even the ymca I know it’s not a restraunt but all the staff there still where masks.

MonGO's fast stir fry has the staff still wear masks and with the handling of food, I kinda like it for the hygienic setting. No different in the sense of sandwich shops now use gloves while handling orders or large corporate fast food chains have mandatory hats policies in the kitchen to substitute hairnets... A covered mouth gives me the impression of sanitation. I hope it become the norm on how food is prepared.

Just my opinion, I could be wrong.

Reminder, looking to keep this thread simple with places that have staff masked when handling the food I'd be about to order/eat. Best to start a separate thread for a wider debate on whether a place should still mask/not to mask... and not really looking to name places that aren't. thx in advance!

I won’t specify locations where I have seen staff without masks, but I would like to clarify something from a previous post. It states that “I think everywhere still does” which is not the case. I have noticed several locations without masks, so please , be cautious.

I notes most servers are wearing masks. I see the transit drivers with them less now, but thy are still enclosed. Most in gas bars and convenience stores have the plexi barrier. Had a few cab rides and some wear them, but again...there is a barrier in many cars, and most if not all sit in back seat.

I think now that the pressure is off, more folks are choosing to wear them. This is good discretion.
