Menu Items for a Spring Supper.

I need some help. I'm trying to plan a menu for a community spring supper. There is a group of 12 of us that will bring a one of the Main Course Dishes and a dessert. For example in the past, it was a roast beef and a pie. Another year it was a pound of sweet and sour meatballs and a 9 X 13 chocolate cake.
Some of the other items such as side veggies and potatoes are supplied. So are pickles, buns, salt and pepper, tea and coffe.
I'm looking for ideas for menu items that could be made the morning of the supper, or put together the night before. Something that can be done in the crock pot, or put together and brought in a roaster or a big pot. And something for dessert. We serve people aging from 3 to 93.
