Fast food deal: Just annoyed

Our family went to a certain fast food restaurant tonight. We had a coupon for for two can dine for 10.99. The oredered 2 kids cheesburger meals with OJ (3.99 each). We ordered onion rings instead of fries for the adult combos which is an extra $1.00 charge each. (thus making the combo 12.99)...our total came up and it was $28 and change.
Now mathematically, this does not add up, so i asked...and I was informed of the extra charge of .50 a piece for the cheese on the kids cheesburgers. Ok, I said, but it still doesnt add up. I paid and went to my seat, only to discover they forgot to put on one of the burgers on the tray. This happens, okay, i get it.
As i ate, i still could not mathematically figure it out, so i presented the bill to the manager and asked him to figure olut how they got to that total. He politely accepted and went away to do as asked. He came back and said, that the kids OJ were not included in the price of the combo, and we were therefore charged and extra $3.00+ for the two OJ...
WOW, since when is the drink not included in the "combo"?
Has anyone else experienced this anywhere?
