We often have business events catered. The caterers use small tins of methanol chafing fuel to keep their buffet containers warm. When they leave, the chafing fuel is usually left with us. How should we dispose of the leftover tins of fuel, as they are usually still half full once the caterer has left.  
 
I have googled various sites and received conflicting advice, from being advised to put it in a plastic bag and throw it in a garbage bin to delivering it to a hazmat facility. What do you do with these things?

Take it to the dump they have a household hazardous chemical trailer and they take them

you should be able to mix a small amount, they tend to separate under certain conditions but the shaking of the mower should fix that.  
 
depends on how much you have.  
 
if you camp it should makes a great fire starter.

Perhaps there are some people in the community who would use these - have you considered offering them to others who could take them off your hands???
