There is all this talk of

the gray power, and the changing customer requirements because of it. So why are not the companies adjusting accordingly!! Now it’s a fact most seniors have smaller appetites, don’t like a lot of leftovers and many are single , why on God’s green earth are they not producing smaller packaging.. For instance, why are they not providing small cans of soup, vegetables, and canned meats (ham, chicken etc) individual containers of fruit or puddings? One might like a couple of vanilla or chocolate desserts but not 4 or more, same with canned fruit, same with applesauce, even may I suggest luncheon meats ( good for you or not). It may not sound like a big deal, but every time you open a can it’s like half used, save the rest, most seniors a frugal and not very likely to chuck a half portion of food just because they don’t like leftovers or eating the same thing twice, and maybe some are wasteful and do throw it out, which seems to me almost criminal given this time of deprivation of many in our world today.
