Pickup service

Am guessing the OP would prefer a separate thread for anyone wanting to go too far into the "is Brandon getting a Costco" debate. That in itself is always a fun discussion but it would take over this thread in a hurry and the OP's opportunity to get the feedback they're looking for.
Love reading about folks thinking about creative business ideas, with how often it comes up in threads there's no shortage of interest in Costco locally. Like any idea you're going to get feedback from all sides of the fence. In most businesses you shouldn't need to make everyone happy to make a go of things and no one person is going to have an opinion representative of everyone but I imagine it's helpful to take in all types of feedback in assessing if there are enough interested folks to build a business around.
I don't know anyone with a membership that could do a pickup for me on a whim.
I can't 100% guarantee you I'd use personally without learning more but it's an intriguing idea. There have to be some quantity buys that would help it make sense, depending on a few factors. Stuff I'd want to know, and maybe you're still hashing some of this out:
- how would I place an order easily and ensure I get some flexibility with what I want?
- how frequent are trips/how short of notice would I be able to give (assuming you need a few orders in a day to help justify the gas portion of cost)?
- how would it be priced? (There'll hopefully be a sweet spot where it makes sense to me as a customer and to you as a business person who has a right to make a profit)
-how would frozen goods be handled to make sure that they make it to my door still in good shape?
Also you may have already done this but just to make sure all angles are covered I would verify that Costco membership doesn't have some kind of provision relating to this kind of thing.
Best of luck in your research and whatever you decide!
