My husband and I had our first ever lunch date at Subway today! My husband is Celiac and for anyone who hasn't noticed select Subway restaurants now have a gluten free bread option. They add $1 to the price of any 6 inch sub and the bread comes in a package to avoid any cross contamination. My husband was very impressed with the taste. We went to the Subway on Victoria avenue west but we're curious to know which other restaurants in town have the option or if they all do. If you've seen it on the menu at another restaurant or have had the chance to try it, chime in please!

I think I heard Little Italy pizzeria is supposed to have gluten free pizza.

subways in Manitoba carry the gluten free option.

Pretty much everything can be made gluten free at Prairie Firehouse, and remains full of flavour! Even the deep fryer is gluten free so you can also enjoy wings, french fries etc!

Wow that great !!! But I find it hard to believe that.... Once you deepfry something that isn't gluten free then the deepfryers become contaminated and not gluten free any more. So if you guys have a deep fryer soley dedicated to glutted free items good on you, if not then be careful as your going to make someone sick. Cross contamination with gluten is for some celiacs very concerning. As well many of your menu items ARE NOT Gluten free and would need to modified very carefully to ensure that. That being said if your well aware of that then good on you guys !

who loves Brown's Socialhouse. They have a menu dedicated to gluten-free items and she says the flavour is amazing.

I have got sick every time I have eaten at Boston Pizza, but I am very sensitive. It's not just the Brandon location but 3 different times in Winnipeg too. My go-to place is Five-Guys. They cut their own potatoes and do not cook anything else in their oil so the fries are good for gluten free folks. They will make a buger with a lettuce wrap or put it in a bowl. I usually get the lettuce wrap and other than having juice from elbow to elbow I love it. Before I was diagnosed I used to love Subway and really miss it - but I am still skeptical that they can keep it from getting cross contaminated with all the crumbs that must be flying around there - one crumb is enough to make me sick for a week.

In response to jayson: We take a lot of care in making sure everything is gluten free. We do not cross contaminate in our deep fryer, we use flour based off rice (or other gluten free flours) in our deep fryer. Hand cut fries, we coat our own wings. Gluten free buns available for our burgers which are always gluten free! Corn tortillas etc! We pride ourselves on being extremely accommodating with allergies, as basically everything is made in house

The keg has gluten free menu- it's great. Echo and Victoria Inn  
have gluten free options, Kim's Asian restaurant makes gluten free meals. I carry gluten capsules in case of cross contamination.  
 
Maxine's in Winnipeg has gluten free menu and I've never been ill after eating there.  
 
I ask for gluten free menu when I eat out .
