When we called yesterday to put an order in for lunch they stated that that they had cancelled their contract with Skip the Dishes. Makes sense I guess.

Makes sense as they are closing in two weeks and will probably start to run out of things.  
 
I'm sorry to the staff who will be losing their jobs. But I'm not upset they are closing. I was never a fan and didn't think their food was that great.

Busier than I have seen them in a while. Guess everyone is going to have them one last time. Too bad it takes closing to make a place popular again. As for skip the dishes, they probably dropped it, as they are going to be closed in just over 2 weeks.

I sure wouldn't want to open a restaurant in Brandon. We locals tend not to support them unless they're Tim Hortons or McDonalds.  
 
Might I suggest Tastee's for your hamburger fix, while it's still open?

We usually went more to them, when they were open, and then went more elsewhere (5 guys or others) when tastee's is closed.

Pretty good crowd on hand for supper for final day. Professional group, staff washing the windows to keep things tidy right down to the final hours!  
 
FYI I did hear back further from a Five Guys rep, who cited construction cost and time as a main reason for not re-opening another location. They would not rule out a future location, though there are no immediate plans.
