Tastes the same to me....I just thought they changed the packaging....which I'm not a fan off. I liked the firm container better than the bag

We purchased the new bag at superstore just the other day, tastes the same to me. I too miss the old can though

I have noticed that it now comes in a bag and not the large can, the question is, did they reduce the amount of crystals in the new packaging?

I'm pretty sure it says same great taste but that it's more concentrated?  
 
Maybe it's one of those mind over matter things?? I really don't notice a taste difference at all?

It tastes the same to me but I have never followed whatever the directions are. I just go by colour of the water and add/mix until it tastes good.  
I think on the container it says that the bag mixes are supposed to be more concentrated so a person can use less powder but I''m pretty sure I''m adding the same amount that I added before, so that might be the reason for the taste difference for you if the directions say to use less than normal.

Oops, I was close but wrong....says it makes 130 cups still but it's more concentrated

The only thing we have an issue is, we are using more product to make in a water bottle. It's so strange. It says it would use less but we've upped put measuring spoon for it... strange.

It doesn't taste the same. I swear there is some hidden aspartame....

I also noticed a change in taste. I thought it was because we were drinking Walmart brand for a bit but I did notice a difference. As for the bag vs can we just save our can from the Walmart brand and dump the bag in it

The things we do to put in time is sometimes scary.  
Did a comparison between the tin and the new bag, if one followed the mixing instructions you would get 135 cups from the tin and 130 cups from the new bag.  
Hope my math was right, and if it is, once again less for the same price or more.

I haven't noticed a difference in taste, although if it's a different amount of mix needed It could be you're mixing it to a different concentration. And yeah, I find I use way less. With the old stuff I needed about 3/4 cup for my jug but I only need 1/4 to 1/3 of the new stuff.  
 
I hate the packaging too, I fixed that by simply transfering it to a very large mason jar.

You are basically paying $10 for a bag of glorified sugar, how do you expect it to taste?

They've used that sucralose crap to make it more condensed. It's horrible. I have a bag in my cupboard that I won't touch now. The aftertaste is just gross. I agree, why fix what wasn't broken. The next best iced tea mix (IMO) is the no name kind at Superstore, so you may want to buy a small one and give that a try.

I don't know if it has the sucralose. It says 25% less sugar (which is maybe why people are complaning? it could be less sweet), which usually indicates some of the sugar has been replaced with an artificial sweetener, but then that sweetener is generally declared on the label.  
 
According to the website, the ingredients are "Sugar, citric acid, instant tea, artificial flavour, salt, silicon dioxide". So unless the sucralose is incorporated into the "flavours", it's not declared on the label, although according to law it should be.

I have been drinking good host ice tea for probably 20 years now and yes it has changed and tastes horrible. I refuse to drink it now. I agree with farmers feed the world who put this post up, why fix it if it's not broke. Too bad someone wouldn't let good host know that their ice tea taste horrible now.

The taste you're referring to is likely a bitterness caused by the black tea leaves in the new concentrated formula as there are no artificial sweeteners (as are often included in "diet" drinks.) Good host iced tea... it tastes more like the iced tea my grandma made which is actually brewed tea with a bit of sugar and lemon added.. It also reminds me of the iced tea you get in the USA.. it's brewed tea down there too. For me... the "new" tea is an improvement.. not sure about the packaging yet tho!!

I find it tastes the same, but it's concentrated so you have to figure out how much less to use to get the same taste as before. I always pour my iced tea into a Tupperware container (so it doesn't bother me that it's in a bag now instead of a can), but the scoop that I use used to need 6 scoops to make a jug of iced tea, now I only use 5 scoops. Took me a few jugs of really sweet iced tea to figure out that it was concentrated, lol!
