Hey was just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for marriage commissioners in Brandon? The list of approved people is quite lengthy, so we were curious if anyone has anyone they would recommend?

Brenda Lacerte is licensed and she has excellent public speaking skills, is extremely organized and such a great fit for this role.

You can also get someone commissioned for the day, and have someone important to you do it . That’s what my husband and I did- we wanted our wedding party small, but I wanted my one friend to be a part of my wedding day. She agreed to do the wedding. Now, it does have a cost associated with it now: $100 I believe. You just have to get the forms from the vital stats site

There is no cost to be a marriage commissioner for one wedding except for providing supper if you want. I did my brother-in-laws wedding. Now one can charge a fee to perform the ceremony but that is between you two...

Not true. My friend had her sis in law do it for their wedding and there is now a fee. When I got married in 2015 there wasn’t. Rules have changed
