I am looking for a band to play at my wedding reception to start off the dance before the DJ takes over. Does anyone know of any good bands that will do covers for an hour or so??  
 
Also interested in other entertainment ideas for cocktail hour. Ex. Acoustic guitar player, violinist, etc

if you want some really fun musicians and don't want to mortgage your house to do it check out The Times Changed High and Lonesome club in Winnipeg or just their web sight. They host the best indi- alt country- rock /blues bands in the country and their are dozens of unbelievable bands in Winnipeg. anything from 10 piece spanish to 3 piece ass kicking blues bands. and any band would come to brandon for a fraction of what Danny charges. And I guarantee their heads will fit through the door..and you will be amazed..

For a public even we hired a jazz trio from BU. Was excellent and received many compliments on the music.
