Looking for older movie's name

Looking for a older movie but can't remember the name of it. Main theme of the movie was that it was about a semi (cab part only) with a large push bar grill (which i remember the guy in the car could see in his rear view mirror)that would chase this guy (in a car) all over the place...would always be waiting for him out side of roadside restaurants...the guy could never see in the windows of the semi, one thing I beleive is that it's maybe at least 30 years old. Do you remember it and the name of it?
