The front page poll has been changed today. For the previous question, because of the new entry into the local TV marketplace I thought it would be interesting to ask "Who is the best television provider in Brandon?". It ended up yielding some pretty interesting results...  
 
Out of 554 total votes...  
 
1: Westman Communications, 265 votes (48%)  
2 (tie): MTS TV, 117 (21%)  
2 (tie): Bell Expressvu, 117 (21%)  
4: Shaw Direct (aka Starchoice), 55 (10%)  
 
The first thing that stands out is that Westman Comm is still close to majority at 48%. When CKX was going through its troubles the number that was given was that about half of the market got their television from satellite and the other half from Westman. This is a very rough approximation because of all of the variables involved, but if that number was correct it would appear that the rollout of MTS TV has been more at the expense of Expressvu and Shaw Direct than at the expense of Westman despite the fact that many like to pitt Westman vs MTS when debating TV choices.  
 
The second thing that stands out is that it didn't take very long for MTS TV to gain a decent amount of popularity. Based on this poll they are on about equal footing with Bell Expressvu in this market and a significant amount ahead of Shaw Direct.

Are these results what you would've expected?
How do you think they might be different if we run this exact same poll one year from today?  
 
(Please note that the intent of this thread isn't to start another debate on who our personal favourite is... but to discuss Brandon/Westman as a whole and where the business of providing TV is going)
