...Anybody catch this new show last night with "That 70s Show" star Laura Prepon?
Essentially, it's the story of a guy in his late 20s who left his small town right after graduating HS, but promised his girlfriend and buddies that he would be back in 2 weeks after back packing in Europe for a bit.
Fast forward 10 years, and he is a famous author whose debut sold millions and was turned into a huge movie. He never went back after his trip to Europe. Hasn't been home in 10 years. On top of that, his book was a satirical look at his hometown and all of his buddies, so everyone back home is mad at him.
He gets asked to present a lecture at the college in his hometown and is forced to go back and face his past.
I think I watched the whole thing bug-eyed, because it was so close to reality. I haven't been home for any significant amount of time since graduating high school and I can relate to that, to some degree.
Intense!
