Went to the Harlequin concert at the 40 last night. I thought it was good. Wonder what everyone else thinks?

I was also there.. had a great time.. havent seen the place packed like that in forever

They played the hits, sounded FANTASTIC! Was great to see that they still love to play  
The guitarist was awesome! Enjoyed seeing Sebastian Bach there and Harlequin, can't wait to see what else the 40 has lined up

I don't think I've ever had a bad time at a Harlequin show! Loved it!  
 
Don't forget band jam for cancer next weekend!

saw them there last year about same weekend as this year and both times we enjoyed them. the crowd sure enjoys that band.

over the next month is, Big Sugar, Band Jam for Cancer, Three's a Party:Jason Blaine, Tebey and James Otto, Platinum Blond, The Canadian Playboyz, as well as the Karaoke Talent Search and of course the annual Halloween Party...and that is just between now and November...lots of great shows coming and they always try to have a good band during the weekend. Lots of local talent over the next few months. Very Exciting! Looking forward to it.  

Last time I was at the 40 and heard a band I enjoyed the music but the noise level was soooo loud it hurt and couldn't talk with the person next to you. It hurt so much my partner and I left. Ruined it for us. Refuse to return until they turn down the sound level.  
 
If they'd turn it down, you could enjoy it more.

Last time I saw Harlequin was when they played at our Valentine Dance at Neelin...in 1977? lol

they do not want you to talk. they want you to drink.  
 
at least it was not loud until the band started, so you could visit while waiting the 2 hours till the show started.

I thought maybe I was aging myself there. But seriously when we were there last the band was so loud it physically hurt. I already have a hearing loss from childhood and don't want to risk damaging my hearing anymore. I love the atmosphere but not at the risk of the rest of my hearing. I suspect most people take their hearing for granted and don't realize how much damage that can do. Trust me hearing loss is no joke.

I've been to The 40 a few times recently and the volume was always reasonable. Mind you I wasn't at a big show but the regular weekend band wasn't exceptionally loud.

I'm not the only one to remember that. Only, I thought it was a freebie dance. Too many years ago. But I do remember they were awesome even then!

I seen harlequin in Winnipeg back in 1978 at my high school dance in the school gym ,it was awesome , that's when there victim of a song album came out , still have that album.

I remember seeing them in the Brandon Inn. I think. Lol
