Anyone know if there's a particular station or brand that usually has the best price for premium gas? I'm going to drive around to check this afternoon and I'm wondering where to start. I checked gas buddy app but it's not as up to date for premium. I fill a big tank a couple times a year for skidoos, ride on and other small engines.

It's not always about price, when purchasing 91 octane fuel. It's about quality too. Those toys like that, they need good quality stuff, and Shell is king for that. Ethanol-free, it's got nitrogen added, along with their features and additives and protection. Can't go wrong with Shell

Thanks for the report back on the premium fuel price, a person usually has a few engines around that do work so much better with premium fuel.  
He have bought some of those cheap Korean engines from Princess Auto and found put they aren't bad for starting and running on the winter, but only if you use premium fuel.

In my experience, anything with a carburetor should not run on the ethanol blend fuels. I maintain a small fleet of vintage vehicles, and I could tell you horror stories about the effects of ethanol. I buy premium for all those vehicles, lawn mowers, chain saw, wood splitter, tractor, chain saw.....  
Maximum amount of fuel you can legally transport as a private individual is 150 kg, so I bring it home 6 cans at a time.

If you're looking for something with top octane numbers try Accent Performance, they carry C16, not sure how much for a liter

Is Shell Premium gas better than Petro Canada Premium Gas ?

From my experience, I would like to say yes. It's labelling of ethanol-free, and it's hype with nitrogen, and all it's additives, cleaning and other-wise, makes me so confident in it's quality. And I've encountered quite a few people who feel the same, which boosts my confidence more, because I'm not alone in it.  
As for Petro-Can, I almost always run their regular in my vehicles that I use regular in, and I really like it. Can't give you statistics comparisons, but it's good. And their points system is great, as far as I'm concerned.  
However, if you're after OCTANE, Petro-Can does make Supreme 94. I've never seen it at a station yet, but it's a well-known fact that they make/sell it. Maybe search for that.

I usually use the Shell premium, but I have also used the premium from superstore and had no ill effects. I don't necessarily believe any of the hype about the nitrogen, and I believe all of the fuel in this province comes from the same taps, and delivered by the same company. My understanding is that, depending on which brand of station that the fuel load is being delivered to, additives may or may not be added by the driver.  
 
Regarding the use of ethanol blend fuels in the small engines, if you read the operators manual for your lawnmower/chainsaw, or whatever, the manual will often say to not use ethanol fuels. I noticed my newest lawnmower allows up to 10%. But since our summer equipment, or our winter equipment, are going to sit for 6 months out of the year, and the ethanol blend fuels seem to turn to turpentine long before that, I'll continue to use premium for the mower.

Use startron. Can get from c-tire and most marine places. It is a ethanol converter to save small motors from the ill effects. High octane no ethanol fuel with lubricating properties can be found at the airport as well but you really should have a high compression engine to run it on the ground.....

I would only use shell to clean my paint brushes. It is best suited for that job not for any other in my opinion.

I recently heard a guy saying he picked up 116 octane leaded gas somewhere. Anyone heard of that?

Sounds like AVGAS to me. In my experience, it leaves a lot of residue on the tailpipe.
