Does Any 1 Drive A Ford F150 With The 3.5 Ecoboast How Has This Motor Been For You And How Many Trouble Free Km Do You Have On It .And Any Problems

Early 3.5 Ecoboost had timing chain issues. Usually caught on warranty. (2011-2013)  
Have close to 250000km on a couple 2014 with no issues. Have a lot more with no issues either. (Lower km)  
Have some 2.7 with no issues either.

2013 f 150 Had the Deadly timming chain rattle changed to a different wait oil and touch wood 1 and a half months later no noise on start up.

2013 102,000 kms: very happy with it: had a oil seal go but was covered by warranty: a senior mechanic told me to put synthnetic oil in it as the turbos get hot and the extra price will save you from replacing turbos. It is a rocket on wheels when needed. Hope to keep it another 5-6 years. Gas is better then my 5.4 in city: get about 20-22 mpg on highway. However gas milage sucks if the turbos are working ex. wind.  
No regrets buying it

TIMMING CHAIN RATTLE BACK. WAS TOLD NOT TO WORRY AT THIS POINT NEEDS TO BE 8 DEGRESS OUT OF TIME. NOT TAKING ANY CHANCES TURN KEY OVER TO PRIME OIL PREASURE THEN START SO FAR NO RATTLE WHEN I DO THIS WAS TOLD COST OF REPAIR STARTS AT 1800.00 AND UP. NOT IMPREASED AS I HAVE ONLY OWNED THE TRUCK FOR 2 MONTHS. ANY 1 KNOW OF A CHEAPER FIX

We had one of the first 3.5L and Ford didn't even know what the fix was back then with the rattle. It got so bad that they replaced the motor on warranty. 2012 and 2013 usually was caught on warranty. They wouldn't make 100,000km. Only cheap fix is to do it yourself. Did you buy from a dealer as i think they would help with the repairs if you only had it for two months.

Ecoboost engine was horrible, timing chain, then one thing lead to another needing a new one. No warranty coverage. Wouldn’t recommend

no warranty from dealer .what did you do.

Scrapped the truck and bought a new silverado

225,000km and no issues yet - touch wood.
