I have a parcel critical to proceeding on a project that has been stuck at Border Services since last winter. I have waiting patently for the border to open, but no longer convinced that it will anytime in the near future. if there is someone out there that can pick up parcels at border service or knows a how to get them please respond. Thank You

Your only option is to find someone that has a business that picks up there. They are pretty much the only ones allowed over currently. I have had a local business pick up a few things for me the past couple of months but he's a friend. I'm not sure what it takes to setup a business similar to Runnin' Red out of Emerson but maybe this is a good time and opportunity for someone to start up something similar over here.

I know Border Services is a UPS drop off and pick up location. Maybe call Jake down there and see if he would re send it to you via UPS. Border Services must be suffering too so hopefully he can do that for you. The hard part might be paying.

That is a great idea. And I agree the hardest part will be paying Jay as he only accepts cash and prefers US. Likely have to mail it to him if he was even interested in doing that. The phone number I have for him is (701) 263-4783.

I had a similar problem. My package arrived the day before the borders shut down. After several months I made contact with them and arranged to have the packages sent back to the company I ordered from and the company resent them directly to me. That is what worked best in my situation. They may be able to just forward yours direct. I paid the border services fees and the other shipping fees via etransfer. Call and talk to them and see what will work for you.

I am in a similar situation and would love an item picked up as well. Willing to pay if someone is travelling across!

I tried finding someone too, but the only way you will likely find someone is if they are a trucker. Those are the only people exempt from quarantine when they get back. Anyone else has to quarantine for 14 days, so not really worth it.  
 
I would definitely talk to Jay - he helped me out once on a COD parcel. I’m betting he would ship it onward for you.

Call UPS and have them pick it up and re-ship it to you in Canada. You'll still have to pay the COD fees and whatever the shipping costs but more times than not that's still cheaper than the time and fuel it costs to drive down and pick it up anyway. You can do everything over the phone and the UPS driver will show up with the label already printed and ready to go...just call 1-800-742-5877 .

These guys have a service that picks up in pembina, give them a call and see where they do their pick ups...then call UPS and arrange for the parcel to be picked up and re-shipped to their pembina north dakota location.
