Carbon fibre wrap ?

Sooo is carbon fibre "wrap " about the same as mactac " pretend woodgrain" ?
If so ,I suppose we will see it on the " little grunt cars" with the BIG mufflers that have to strain so hard to pull away at traffic lights.
