    Check with your insurance agent.  
    Depending upon how much you drive it.  
    They can give you a breakdown of cost & coverage.

    MPI has a rate calculator online that you use to get pricing. You can compare basic autopac to the collector rate. Link below.

    Collector Plates

    A 1968 vehicle can qualify for Collector plates if it meets all of the criteria. It requires a valid safety Certificate. It has to be appraised to meet the $5000 rule and must be maintained at (or above) that minimum value. You cannot drive it regularly to school or to work.  
    Check with MPI for all of the Collector Vehicle rules.
