Van stalling when turning corners

My van occasionally stalls when I turn corners. It did this last winter and then stopped, then in the last few weeks it has done it a couple times. Any ideas? I am totally uneducated when it comes to vehicles.
Any suggestions of what it may be? It really sucks when your at an intersection, no warning or funny noises, just stops running.
