1987 GMC idle problem

Anyone familiar with the 350 5.7L TBI for this year. Having some idling problems when driving in the lower gears and at slower speeds. I have changed the the fuel filter, spark plugs, fluids are all new and good, throttle sensor is new, air flow sensor is new, and just put in a new map sensor. The catalytic converter was previously out of the truck so compression should be fine. Both gas tanks work and problem occurs for either tank so that should rule out bad pump pressure. Not sure what to check next. The computer said to change out the map sensor and it still idles low and inconsistently. Would appreciate any ideas.
