broken car need help please!

i have a 1990 dodge spirit, she was working fine saturday morning and was purring like a kitten. saturday night we were going to go out for supper and she wouldnt start! the car hasnt turned on since.
now the lights and everything come on but the car wont turn on, when we turn the key she wont even make any sounds at all, not even the sound of the car trying to turn on... we have never had any problems with this car before.
( i dont know anything about cars lol)
can anybody help??
