Heating in Chrysler Intrepid

So my daughters car is blowing very little heat. The only way she can get any decent amount of heat to blow is to turn it to recirculate and Dash vent. Any other setting is coolish air.
Would this be the heater core? If so how expensive are they to replace? and how much in labour?
