    Hi I own a small but newer car and the engine light has come on and was wondering if there's a place in town that offers free diagnostics? And possibly a free estimate of the cost to fix the problem! Thank you

    They are offering a free check light until July 31.  
    look online for the coupon.

    scan the problem with an OBDII scanner. I can't fix your problem, but can tell you the codes and narrow down your problem. Possibly tell you the cost to fix but I am not a mechanic. FREE of charge. Msg me.

    Tons of people have scanners. Don't take your car to a shop as most will charge over 70 bucks for that 5 seconds of work. I also have one you can use if needed.

    First,check to insure the gas cap is on tight,and if so ,disconnect the battery (one terminal) leave for two minutes and hook back up. the engine check light should reset if there is nothing wrong
